We had an excellent insight into the way of life in rural Romania, meeting and staying with the local people and eating local dishes. The walking is quite demanding, but results in fantastic views and a great experience of areas off the beaten track. This is a tour that provides a real appreciation of an unspoilt part of Europe and also provides self exploration through the challenges that walking in the rugged mountains presents. The cultural side of the tour, with the painted churches and seeing firsthand the way of rural life, is fascinating.

Chris and I would like to thank you for making our trip through your country so special. You have a beautiful country and the things that you showed and told us about it gave us a real feeling of your life. For me the most special was the traditional lunch and the trip with the horses and carts over the lovely country. It was so special as it gave an insight of the real countryside as well as a small glimpse of the countryside people with their way of life and sense of fun. Many thanks Adina for all you did and if you see Daniel give him our greetings and tell him we thought he was a great driver. With love and best wishes, Liz

Paolo

I truly enjoyed the entire Romania Saxon Village Photography holiday. Ultimately, I fell in love with the people, culture and unique old world experiences. It was an extreme privilege to have Smaranada as our local tour guide. Her professionalism and knack to understand all personalities helped provide tailored experiences throughout the trip and keep us a cohesive group. She helped create experiences that we will remember the rest of our lives. We all appreciated that she shared her love for her country, culture and people. Her knowledge on the history of each of the locations we traveled to help make each experience extra special.During the trip I have made some lifetime friends, and Romania will always have a place in my heart.

Really want to thank you for all you did for us, the varied itinerary but most of all your company which made the whole thing so special. Whether it was hauling farmer-key holders off their fields, recommending restaurants, obtaining hotel room upgrades or arranging special events such as the concert in Brasov or the friendly lunch in Sibiel, we felt we were getting really special treatment. Most of all though, it was talking to you about Romania, culture and society, sharing a joke, chatting about our lives and generally having a great time, that we really valued!
